Over 175,000 trees whare raised and distributed for forest restoration, and to help re-establish home gardens for tsunami affected families. Six community owned and managed nurseries supply trees to the main nursery providing valuable livelihood income for the families of the women who run the nurseries. The project conducted conservation awareness programmes – over 12,000 school children have participated in environmental and biodiversity protection workshops.
